Newmor Trends for 2025
At Newmor Wallcoverings, our annual trend forecast has become a key source of inspiration for the commercial interiors industry. Every year, we identify the themes that will define interior design, offering insights that help designers create meaningful, standout spaces. For 2025, Rose Campbell, our Head of Design and Marketing, has highlighted five distinct trends. These trends share common threads of timeless design, personalisation, and a deep sense of place, offering designers fresh approaches to craft inviting and memorable commercial environments.
Here’s a closer look at Newmor’s 2025 trend predictions:

Fair Isle
Fair Isle is the most remote inhabited island in the UK, famed for its seabirds, and artisan crafting. Inspired by this, our Fair Isle trend celebrates a slower pace of life and a deep appreciation of flora and fauna. Featuring layers of texture and pattern which connect us with nature and promote a feeling of wellbeing. Chunky weaves weathered finishes and hand-crafting are key elements of this trend.
Rose explains: “Fair Isle draws on tradition and nature. The island’s lush landscapes and the North Sea inspire a colour palette that combines teal, sage, seafoam, stone, and fern, bringing a grounded, natural feel to interiors.“

‘Vintage Verdure’, created with Print Pattern Archive, reflects this trend beautifully with biophilic imagery and a woven emboss. ‘Meadow,’ ‘Marmor,’ and ‘Clash of the Tartans’, similarly capture the essence of natural landscapes and heritage craftsmanship, perfect for spaces that need a touch of organic calm.

Earthenware
Our Earthenware trend, like the pottery, has a soft and elegant yet grounding aesthetic. The neutral palette and rounded shapes create calm and restful spaces that are brought to life using beautiful imperfect yet intricate textures layered together to ignite the senses. This sophisticated yet comfortable colouration inspires spaces where you can unwind and spend your precious time.
Inspired by natural pigments and materials used in pottery, this beautiful and varied earthy palette is warm and inviting. Key colours are cream, sand, cognac, mocha and chocolate

‘Quartz’ from our award-winning Sanctuary Collection showcases earthy tones and intricate details, while our ‘Raffia,’ ‘Verde,’ and ‘Tanner’ designs introduce warmth and tactility through rich, textured embossing.

Tequila Sunrise
Vibrant and full of contrast, Tequila Sunrise is an exploration of opposites—sour versus sweet, elegant yet exotic. This trend plays with saturated hues and varied textures to spark intrigue, further enhanced by dynamic lighting effects.
“Tequila Sunrise celebrates creative energy. It plays with bold, contrasting colours and textures to create truly captivating interiors that feel both luxurious and playful. The colour palette is an enticing mix of bold, bittersweet hues. Key colours include oxblood, violet, chartreuse, mustard, and blush.” says Rose.

Our new ‘Folia’ design provides an alluring mix of warm hues, while ‘Palm’ and ‘Mantelito’ add pattern and vibrancy. The citrus tones of ‘Brushed Steel’ provides an energetic lift, and Iona Crawford’s ‘Cuvee Rose’ offers a neon glow that can elevate any space.

Dark Decadence
Refined and theatrical, Dark Decadence embraces moody, immersive spaces that exude sophistication. Craftsmanship plays a central role, with rich materials such as velvet, burnished metals, and cut-glass adding layers of interest. Feature ceilings become a statement piece within these dramatic interiors, enhancing the moody colour drenched spaces.
Dark Decadence is all about indulgence and mystery. These deep, luxurious tones and opulent textures create spaces that are both intimate and breathtaking. Sumptuous jewel tones paired with burnished metals create an opulent yet intimate ambiance. Key colours include deep plum, oxblood, navy, and forest green

Our newly launched ‘Shagreen’ and ‘Panthera’ designs invite closer inspection, as the clever use of texture and pattern lift the designs to new heights. ‘Lambris,’ ‘Menagerie,’ and ‘Manhattan’ channel the timeless elegance of gentlemen’s clubs. And ‘Mythical Dynasty’ by Print Pattern Archive would make a striking feature ceiling, adding to the sense of drama.

Expressionist
The final 2025 trend, Expressionist, is all about personalisation—embracing nostalgia, eclecticism, and individuality. Whether through statement pieces, curated collections, or bold pattern clashes, this trend celebrates spaces with a strong sense of place and emotional resonance.
Rose explains, “This trend is all about self-expression. You can make a statement, by layering colours and textures in ways that feel personal and meaningful to you. The dynamic mix of bright hues are balanced with grounding neutrals. Key colours include subdued brights, bold pops, and steadying tones of stone and clay“.

Designs in this trend include our new ‘Panthera’ in the most subtle neutral, ‘Diamonds’ by the Patternistas, a colourful ‘Ikat Pinstripe’ designed by Ptolemy Mann, ‘Heron Sent’ from the John Morris Collection. Finally, our bold ‘Mod Damask Classic’ and ‘Get Arty Pollock’ designs are contrasted with the subtlety of ‘Chroma Cyan Yellow’ by Ptolemy Mann.
