Newmor Wallcoverings has brought in an environmental management system which follows the requirements of ISO 14001:2015, estimated to be certified by Summer 2020.

Environmental Consciousness

Our aim is to develop high performance wallcoverings with minimum environmental impact.

We strive to balance sustainability with the evolving needs of our customers to deliver products with high design and superior properties. Newmor wallcoverings are made to last up to 20 years and this longevity has enhanced life cycle benefits and reduces the environmental impact of their manufacture.

Environmental Objectives 2020

1. Develop and maintain a structured environmental management system to promote good environmental performance and ensure continual improvement.

2. Reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by 10%.

3. Install smart meters on production premises by the end of the first quarter.

4. Increase production electricity efficiency by 5%.

Raw Materials & Supply Chain Transparency

We currently operate an environmental management system based on ISO 14001: 2015. We ensure that all raw materials used in the manufacturing of our wallcoverings comply with all relevant industry regulations and will not be classified as high concern under the developing REACH programme concerning chemicals.

Our wallcoverings do not contain any formaldehyde or heavy metals such as lead, cadmium or mercury.

We are FSC® and PEFCTM certified.

Resource Consumption

With the help of the Carbon Trust we have reduced our energy usage by 15% per m2 manufactured.

We have invested in a closed loop cooling system which dramatically reduced out water consumption in production processes.

With the looming installation of our solvent distiller on site, our carbon foot-print will drastically decrease as our solvent waste will be recycled on site.

We are constantly monitoring out energy and water usage and investing in

processes and technologies to make reductions and striving to work with energy providers with strong energy contribution from renewables.
