Miles for Mental Health: Newmor’s Charity Challenges 2025
Over the past year at Newmor, we’ve made a real effort to give something back to our all-important community; a community that’s supported us as a family-run business in Welshpool since 1967. This years charity fundraising efforts have been directed at Ponthafren; a local Powys charity offering services to members of our community who experience mental health issues, those who may be socially isolated or excluded, or those who may wish to make new friends or gain new skills. They provide a caring environment, offering support to those in need and to promote positive mental health and well-being for all.
A new collection of heavyweight vinyl wallcoverings with deeply textured embosses, metallic effects and a whole spectrum of neutral and accent colours. Created with precision gravure printing using water-based eco friendly inks, APEX Wallcoverings feature bold patterns, custom embosses, and rich and complex textures. With extended color lines, and just the right amount of shine.
Stephen Walter’s drawings are a tangle of signs, words and images that draw the viewer into the artist’s intricate worlds. A graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University and the Royal College of art, he is best-known for his series of hand-drawn maps, done in enormous detail and layered with both visual and textual information. Each work is an intricate world in itself; a tangle of words and symbols that make up a complex of hidden meanings and wider contradictions. Through drawing, photography and printmaking, his artworks explore the meaning of objects, the glory of maps, our place in the world, and the potential legacy that we bequeath to future generations.
