50 years of Newmor Group!
Newmor Group was founded in 1967 by John Morris, and is run to this day by his two grandsons. We thrilled to be celebrating our 50th anniversary this year, and we have lots of exciting plans in store!
Toby Morris explains why retaining our UK manufacturing heritage is so important, “we have decades of collective experience in design and manufacturing. I cannot underestimate the importance of a skilled and experienced workforce. Having our own manufacturing facility and dedicated design studio in one location allows us to offer our clients much greater flexibility in custom design, product specification and efficient delivery”.
As well as our own sales offices in the UK, Poland, Germany, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong Newmor also work with a well-established international distributor network. Currently operating in over 70 countries worldwide, we have supplied thousands of hotel groups, interior designers and architects all over the world.
We have a whole host of activities planned to mark this Golden year. It all kicks off in January at Heimtex, the biggest and most important international trade fair for interior design and trends. The first trade fair of the year, it is a trend barometer for the whole industry. The show runs from 10-13 January at Messe Frankfurt. We will be hosting our biggest product launch yet on our stand E34 in Hall 3:1. Further new products are planned for the spring, which includes the launch of a new residential textures collection.
In the summer of 2017, we will take the opportunity to thank our loyal workforce by hosting a Garden Party at Powis Castle in Welshpool which will be attended by customers and dignitaries including the Earl of Powis.
This year we have chosen The Prince’s Trust as our main charity. “As a major employer in the town, we feel as well as supporting our long-established work force it is vital to support young talent and unlock their potential. We felt that supporting HRH The Prince Of Wales charity would be a fitting tribute to our Welsh heritage” explains our Commercial Director, David Johnston.
