Peloso is a luxurious cowhide/leather texture. The subtle yet intricate nuances of the emboss create a wonderful movement that replicates the organic leather patterns. The design comes to life when the light catches the metallic and mica pigments. The warm, sumptuous and sophisticated colour palette of jewel tones, utilises the micas and metallics.
Tapping into the trend of resistance dying techniques, our Batik design was derived from a hand-dyed piece of fabric. In addition to the delicate tonal background print, the emboss we’ve used adds to the tactile feeling of creased fabric after the dying process. Traditionally batik dyes came from natural plant sources. The most widely used were indigo blue and soga, a warm brown colour made from the bark of the soga tree. We have used these and continued the natural dye theme throughout the rest of the palette.
Acacia is named after the tree because of its tactile bark-like texture, this design taps into the biophilia and wellness trend. The organic colour palette ties in with the New Nordic trend – a fresh and new take on the Scandi look which focuses on textures, earthy pigments, sculptural shapes, and warm atmospheres.
