Our Leaves wallcovering is featured in the interiors at Cardwell’s Garden Centre in Gourock, Scotland. Designed to create a tranquil place for customers to enjoy by bringing the outdoor aspects of the garden centre indoors.
The redesign embraced nature using lots of natural wood, plants and foliage. Atmospheric rattan and festoon lighting throughout The Patio, as well as leather sofas, luxurious padded banquet seating and coffee tables.
Our Leaves wallcovering is a large scale skeletal leaf pattern in a shadowy, inky palette. It was used throughout the space, further adding to the biophilic and wellness aspect of the space.
Wallcoverings are a great way to combine colour and print to mimic the natural world – from the organic colours and textures of stone, wood, and botanicals, to print and patterns inspired by landscapes, fauna and flora. Using biophilic inspired designs for the spaces we live, work, and relax in can increase feelings of wellbeing, happiness, and serenity. It has also been shown to improve concentration, creativity, and productivity, and reduce stress and anxiety.
The designer, Mariessa Devlin from Devlin Interior Design, said “The inspiration behind my design was to bring the outdoors in and in doing so, bringing a multitude of wellbeing benefits. The Leaves wallcovering was just perfect to add depth to a feature wall area.”
We provide interior designers with the ultimate choice of biophilic inspired patterns. From Leaves, to our wonderfully witty Banshee cacti pattern by The Patternistas, the pure drama of Blooming Marvellous, and our new Bali design, which is a delicate transparent print creating the effect of a palm tree casting shadows onto the wall. All designs can be printed onto vinyl wallcovering or window film, creating even more opportunities to incorporate biophilia in interiors today.
