Hotel Gotham’s design is inspired by the Art Deco heritage of the building, and set out over seven floors, including the Honey restaurant which will be open to the public on the sixth floor. Playful touches which nod to the building’s banking past include moneybag-style laundry bags and briefcases for light fittings in the bar.

Lead-designer, Oliver Redfern said: “We wanted to pay tribute to a major building designed by ‘one of the greatest British architects’, Edwin Lutyens whilst injecting a distinct fresh personality. I’m sure the guests will have as much fun at Hotel Gotham as we have had in creating it”.

Honey Restaurant

Our Lyon Stripe wallcovering is the backdrop to the banking inspired interior of the Honey Restaurant  – custom printed and installed horizontally for a smart, tailored effect. The serving area is based on period filing cabinets – zinc, wood, marble and brass bank vault mesh. Bowler hat are displays, green bankers wall lamps create a glow, and of course you can’t miss the view of Manchester’s skyline through the original windows.
